Why I Mentor
Before Captivate Life Photography became what it is today, I was just a mom who picked up a camera after my first daughter was born.
I didn’t come from a photography background.
I didn’t go to school for this.
I didn’t have a perfectly mapped-out plan.
What I did have was the desire to create something meaningful — both for my family and for the families I photograph.
Building this business has come through years of learning, trial and error, late nights editing, figuring out pricing, navigating clients, adjusting workflows, and slowly discovering what actually works in real life — not just what sounds good online.
Because of everything I’ve walked through and everything I’ve learned along the way, I now want to share that knowledge with you — to help make your path feel clearer, simpler, and far less overwhelming.
This mentorship is about passing on real, practical insight that comes from doing the work, not just talking about it

1:1 Mentorship Experience $1200
What We’ll Cover During Your Mentorship
A true hands-on learning experience within a live session environment
Choice of focus: Newborn or Maternity, depending on your goals
Guided walkthrough of my posing workflow from start to finish
How I transition between setups while keeping sessions calm, natural, and efficient
Real-time instruction on how to see and use light intentionally
Shooting guidance throughout the session, including composition, angles, and decision-making
- Direction in shooting in Manual and how to adjust for the entire session
- How to confidently direct and connect with clients to create authentic, relaxed imagery
Insight into creating a seamless, elevated client experience from beginning to end
Post-session time together to edit one or two images, walking through my editing approach and thought process
Open discussion and guidance tailored specifically to your needs, skill level, and areas of growth
Each mentorship is fully customizable based on the questionnaire you’ll complete beforehand, allowing us to focus intentionally on the areas that will serve you most — whether that’s refining your workflow, gaining confidence in-session, or developing a more intentional approach to your craft.

- Client galleries – sharin, delivering, selling and printing
- Posing guidance, creating natural, connection driven images
- How to elevate your clint experience and add value to your sessions
- Achieving a cohesive aesthetic across your portfolio and social platforms
- Social media growth strategies and maintaining engagement with your audience
